The Sensitive Midwifery Magazine

The Sister Lilian CentreTM has arranged the Sensitive Midwifery SymposiumTM since its inception in 1996. Today, this is one of the most popular and highly regarded of all midwifery conferences in Southern Africa.
We realised that due to staff shortages many of midwifery and other nursing professionals are not able to attend the Symposium every year. To ensure that valuable information of the kind offered at Sensitive Midwifery SymposiumTM each year is available to more professionals on a regular basis we proudly launched the Sensitive Midwifery MagazineTM in May 2008. The spirit of the Sensitive Midwifery SymposiumTM and now the magazine too, is to support all in this special profession to be able to render the most sensitive service possible to our clients and patients. Both the Symposium and the Magazine will always strive to offer a mix of current ideas, to update expertise, encourage sensitive midwifery and child health practices, challenge non-defendable policies and provide a forum of inspiration to our profession.
The magazine does not replace the Sensitive Midwifery SymposiumTM but brings additional information and inspiration in each issue. It's aimed at all nursing professionals working in the fields of pregnancy and baby care. To receive your copy, contact 012 348 4992.
We regret that we cannot distribute this magazine to the public, but we do have the Sister Lilian FamilyTM magazine specifically for expectant couples and parents. Do consider joining the Sister Lilian Family if you would like to receive this helpful guide quarterly, amongst many other benefits!
